The first renewal programme organized by the preaching community was held on the 15th of September. The Religious representing various congregations who are working in the Mannar diocese attended the first programme. The First input talk on the challenges for Religious life was given by Rev. Fr. S.M.Sebastian OMI. Then there was group sharing and Reflection and the second talk was given by Rev. Fr. Stany Antony Omi on Asceticism for a meaning Religious life. Hence there was a common forum to discuss the current issues affecting the Religious Life and Society. It was decided to continue these renewal programmes and all who attended promised to support the efforts the preaching community.
