
The Oblate Day – 2018 was celebrated at Thodarpaham, Jaffna on the 17th of February. Around fifty Oblates came together to thank the Lord for the 192 years of the Oblate Constitutions and Rules. Fr. Maria Sebastian OMI, emphasised during his homily, the impacts the CCRR make in the life and mission of each individual Oblate, thus inviting all the Oblates to remain faithful to the Charism of our Congregation. Prior to the Eucharistic celebration and fellowship lunch, there was an Oblate Forum to discuss the life and mission of the Oblates of Jaffna Province. Fr. Maria Sebastian OMI, moderated the forum and Fr. Victor Jeyasingam OMI, the Provincial Treasure explicitly explained the financial status of the Province.
