Around fifteen young Oblates less than 5 years of priesthood and 10 years of Perpetual Oblation came together for a formative  session at the Provincial House in Jaffna on the 16th of February 2018. Fr. Provincial addressed the gathering on the scope and the shape of the oblate ongoing formation which is staggeringly needed to our Province where we have a good number of young Oblates. “Ongoing formation is not only about academic updating but to keep ourselves moving according to the charism of our Congregation and humbly leaving ourselves to the mission of our Province” stressed Fr. Provincial. There was also a cordial discussion between the young Oblates and the Provincial administration. Some key points on the role of young oblates in community living and the modus operandi for future gatherings were also amicably discussed.
