Antony Xavier Amalraj, omi, who completed his initial formation at the International Roman Scholasticate (IRS) while learning his theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome was ordained a priest on April 21, 2016, by Msgr. Joseph Kingsley Swampillai, the Apostolic Administrator of Diocese of Mannar, Sri Lanka. The priestly ordination ceremony took place at St. Sebastian’s Cathedral, Mannar.
The newly ordained priest celebrated his first Mass at his own parish, viz., St. Antony’s Church, Muthaliyarkulam, Vavuniya on April 24, 2016.
