The Annual feast of Our Lady of Velankanni was celebrated on the 8th of September 2019. Six of our Scholastics assisted Fr. S. Sebastian Revel, OMI, the parish priest of Akkarayan Mission. In view of the parish annual feast, a ‘Renewal Programme’ was also organized by Fr. Revel starting from 28, July to 25, August 2019. Two brothers, Roovin and Alex from the Diocese of Jaffna and six sisters from the Congregation of the Holy Family of Bordeaux helped him. They focused on the AsIPa (Anpiyam). By visiting the families belonging to eight substations, their faith and spiritual lives were renewed. Seminars were also conducted for the children, youth and parents.
