The Oblate Institute for Higher Education (OIHE) is incorporated in Sri Lanka under the Companies Act. No. 7 of 2007 and bearing the name as the Oblate Institute for Higher Education (Private) Limited. The Oblates are happy as this incorporation will give OIHE the greater possibility to issue degrees recognized under Section 25 A of the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978.
Having completed the incorporation process the Oblates look for the possibilities of affiliations with local as well as international universities that are recognized by the Sri Lankan University of Grants Commission (UGC). It is also working with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission, popularly known as TVEC, for Center registration and Course accreditation of NVQ Qualifications.
