Blessings on this day of thanksgiving for the grace of our vocation! As I visit Oblates around the world I see how close we are to the poor, how our lives are marked by simplicity and approachability. I am convinced of the necessity of our charism in the life of the Church. We bring people close to the Church, to the Body of Christ, and in our closeness to the poor we receive Christ too.

Asia-Oceania Formator’s Conference Meeting was held from January 13 to 19, 2013 in Manila and Cotabato City, Philippines. The chosen theme was “The Context of the Youth Today”. There were 18 delegates and AORC liaison person from 12 Oblate units in Asia Oceania Region participated.

Christinammah Gnanamuthu, Mother of Fr. Pilendran and Wenceslaus OMI, has passed away on 22nd 01, 2013 in Jaffna. Long time she was going through a bad physical ailment and was admitted at Jaffna Teaching hospital and she finally entered into eternal rest at the hospital itself.
