We Congratulate 113 Students from Annai Illam who participated in the English Festivals which was conducted by IIMSD affiliated with British and International Federations. 27 children got gold medals and others got silver and bronze medals. Among the gold medalists 19 children participated in Sri Lanka English Festival in BMICH Colombo. Four of them won the award of All Island winners and others got the champion cup and certificate. We congratulate Annai Illam staff, particularly Fr. Ramesh, OMI for training the students.
The State Sahithya Literary Award was given to Fr. Anpurasa OMI for the book ‘Mother Hen and Father Cock’) for the year 2018 in the field of children’s literature at 62nd State Awarding Ceremony at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. And another State Award ‘Kalaichchudar’ was given to him by the Ministry of Hindu Cultural Affairs for the contribution made for the folk lore on the 2nd of September, 2019. Congrats Fr. Anpu.
