A meeting was organized under the leadership of Fr. Jenis, OMI, the Coordinator of the De Mazenod Campus. This meeting was convened so as to discus and evaluate the classes that had been conducted at DMC. There were sixteen members present at the meeting. To begin with there was a power-point presentation regarding the activities of the DMC. It was a review of the past events that took place at the Campus.
In his speech, Fr. Eugene Benedict, OMI, the Provincial and the chancellor of the “Oblate Institute for Higher Education” (OIHE), congratulated all the teachers for their dedicated service. He explained about the administrative structure of OIHE. De Mazenod Campus in Jaffna, Gnanothayam in Mannar, Annai Illam in Kilinochchi, Anjali Aham at Point Pedro, Youth Empowerment Center at Ariyalai and Nessakkarangkal in Kilinochchi have been registered under TVEC as centers to get the training in different capacities. He insisted on having meeting at least once in two months.
Fr. Jenis, OMI introduced the teachers at first. He explained about the structure of this institute from the very beginning the difficulties faced at the beginning and the gradual growth it has reached up to now. The DMC is functioning under ‘Higher Studies’. This project of ours functions on a charity-basis rather than business. There is a holistic programme for these children. They are led along with the Charism of the Congregation. Some special animations and events have been conducted for their intellectual and spiritual growth. Fathers thanked the teachers for their collaboration, commitment and dedication in conducting the classes. The categories of the students are school going children above the age of 16, students from the university, teachers, workers from different offices, some lecturers, religious and some others. Fr. F.L.N. Croos, OMI said that the children are very much interested in learning other languages and thanked all for their support.

DMC should have a recognition. It needs a webpage.
It does provide not only the education but also personality development.
We feel satisfaction and happiness in teaching at DMC.
We need to develop exposures like drama and similar activities.
Regarding the ICT, we can think of teaching the hardware of computer in the future. It can lead to raise the level of teaching and the standard of the certificate.
We need to think seriously regarding drafting a syllabus for it.
Awareness should be raised to use of the library to enhance self-study and research to improve their learning.
