The First Pastoral Convention of the New Diocese of Trincomalee was held on 14th of January at the Pastoral Centre at Uppuveli Trincomalee. His Lordship Rev. Dr. Kingsly Swampillai Presided over the pastoral convention. Rev. Dr. Stany Antony OMI was called to address the convention. He addressed on the Topic, Faith: A challenge to our present time and its impact on Christian life. Since it was the first convention around 100 participants including priests and religious graced the convention. There was lively discussion followed by the talk and came to an end around 2 p.m.
