Rev.Fr.Soosaiappu Anthony Poncian OMI was installed as the Superior of Amala Uthayam Oblate Community at Uppuveli, Trincomalee, on the 1st of November 2012 by the Provincial Superior Fr.M. Paul Nadchethiram OMI. The members of the community and other Oblates who are working in the District, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Trincomalee and the Episcopal Vicar were present on the occasion. Fr. Emmanuel Godfrey OMI and Bro. Amirtharaj Dabarera OMI were assigned as first and second assistants to the Superior respectively. Fr. Francis Loshington OMI, the Provincial Councillor also graced the Occasion. The event was followed by a fraternal Dinner.
