The Ordination of three of our Deacons viz., Francis Manokaran Piragash Nijanthan, OMI, Jesuthasan Amirtharaj, OMI and Velichore Volantine Morris, OMI were ordained Priests by the Rt. Rev. Justin B. Gnanapragasam, the Bishop of Jaffna on the 11th of September, 2021 at the Bishop’s House Chapel. At the same time, the other three Deacons viz., Don Bosco John Jenybert Croos, OMI, Sebamalai Roystan, OMI and Arasaratnam Danistan, OMI were ordained Priests by Rt. Rev. Fidelis Lionel Emmanuel Fernando, the Bishop of Mannar, on the 25th of September, 2021 at the Chapel of Gnanodhayam, Mannar.
We, the Oblates of Mary Immaculate of the Province of Jaffna welcome our six Brothers to our Eucharistic cenacle with unalterable fraternal love. It is our fervent prayer that St. Eugene, our Holy Founder and Mary Immaculate the Patroness of our Congregation will accompany them with their paternal and maternal love to perform the apostolate that God has already set apart for them.
