Though access to clean water is indispensable, yet in some areas this has been preposterous. Mullikulam is one of the sub-stations of Thadchanamaruthamadhu Parish which has been ministered by the Oblates since 1992. In certain areas of Mullikulam, the villagers find it difficult to have potable water. Being aware of the side effects caused by contaminated water, namely severe kidney issues, the Oblates with the munificent support of HAVONAS have installed two water filtering systems; one at Mullikulam Primary School and the other at Amalaaruvi Community Centre.
