The newly constructed St. Eugene de Mazenod church was blessed by Bishop Thomas Saundaranayagam of Jaffna Diocese on December 8, 2014. The church is designed by the veteran designer Fr. Hilarian Vedhanayagam OMI and is conveniently situated near the Oblate Juniorate, Scholasticate and Fr. Mathew’s Memorial Home, at Columbuthurai, Jaffna. Besides contributions from Oblates in Australia and Denmark major part of the project was funded by Missionsprokur, Germany. The Missionsprokurator Fr.
