Role of the Oblates from both Provinces : A joint session of Colombo and Jaffna

The Provincial administrations of Colombo and Jaffna came together for a joint session at Jaffna, Thodarpaham, the Provincial House. The members held their meeting on the 16th of October 2012. It was a felt need to come together and share matters concerning common projects where both Provinces could get involve. The meeting gave much emphasis to the national situation of the country and  the role that the Oblates from both Provinces could play in promoting  Justice, Peace and Reconciliation among communities. There were many other matters discussed about our joint ministries and all the Oblates of both Provinces will be informed of them and of the future joint actions that both Provinces could undertake. The members of Colombo spent the whole day on the 17th, having their own council meeting, visiting the Oblates Houses and mission stations of the Jaffna Province in the evening and left for Colombo on the 18th morning.
