Support from Jaffna Tamils in Norway

One hundred students attending the coaching classes at Annai Illam, Kilinochchi, will be sitting for their Advance Level exams in August 2015. Hundred more students are being coached for the O-Level exams in December 2015. These classes were spearheaded by Fr. Ramesh, who faithfully shuttles from Jaffna every weekend to coach up these students. The community of Oblates at Annai illam are hopeful that their labor of love will yield a hundred fold.

Annai Illam, an Education Resource Centre, caters to students who are affected by the civil war: displaced persons, orphans, etc.  It is equipped with a library, halls, class rooms, computers and other facilities; for teaching as well as for research. We are grateful to LEBARA Foundation for financing this project. Annai Illam also has a bus, donated by MIVA, Austria, to transport students.

Our special thanks go to Fr. Saveripillai Edmund Reginald OMI,who channels donations from the Jaffna Tamils in Bergen, Norway, to defray the running expenses of the coaching classes.
