iNTER CHAPTER COMMENCES IN INDIA

Beyond Our Comfort Zones
And yet, some dream of something different. They long to step out of their comfort zones, to meet those who think, speak, or pray in other ways, and to let the encounter change their lives. They dare to build bridges. They seek to create something greater and truer, something that brushes against the divine and enlarges the heart. This is what we call an intercultural way of life.
The upcoming InterChapter invites us to reflect on this call. Interculturality is not theory or fashion: it is a way of life that touches each of us and calls us to walk as one body. It reminds us that we are interwoven and that we depend on one another. It is not reduced to sending a missionary to another unit or living as a foreigner in another land. It is an act of faith that surpasses us and goes beyond our own desires and choices.
Today the world seems to narrow the paths for living this way. There are fewer opportunities and more barriers. But we do not stop. The challenges of entering or residing in a new country, the sacrifices, the walls that seem impossible to break—these are all part of our missionary commitment. We are called to be faithful and creative disciples, obedient to Christ, and to go forward together, no matter the cost.
