The Preaching band community in Vavuniya consists of seven members in the group. The main ministry is preaching which means; the Novena preaching and Grand Missions. They also conduct seminars, retreats, counseling, and workshops for different categories of people, such as children, youth, parents, and Students. Rev. Fr. Jeyabalan OMI is the Superior of the Community. Rev. Fr. Deloshan, the Bursar of the Community is also rendering his ministry as chaplaincy to the College of Education, Prison, and the District General Hospital.
There is also a studio where the ministry of Evangelization through social media is being carried out.
