It has been a year since the YEC began its operations. To commemorate the one year anniversary of its foundation and to inaugurate the Year of Youth which is launched in the light of forthcoming Synod on Young People by the Diocese of Jaffna, an event was organized at Gnadheepam on the 25th of January, 2018. Very. Rev. Fr. Jebaratnam, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Jaffna was the Chief Guest. Youth from Jaffna and Kilinochchi participated in the programmes. Among the audience there were also Mr. Henk and Mrs. Florencena co-founders of HAVONAS and Fr. Stephen, the Director of Jaffna Diocesan youth Commission. Fr. Philip Ranjanakumar OMI, the Director of YEC has organized this event with his youthful enthusiasm.
